Why buying cheap Flip Flops is a false economy

Published: Friday 23rd February 2018

We’ve all heard the phrases buy cheap, buy twice and if it’s too good to be true it probably is. The same rule applies when buying flip-flops and here’s why!

Now we’ve all seen supermarkets and cheap high street clothing stores who sell flip flops for just a few £ each, but most of the time they’re cheap for a reason.

Poor quality is the biggest factor. You get what you pay for and most of the time they look bad, feel even worse when you wear them and they won’t last long before breaking!

Some might say “because they’re cheap I will just buy another pair!” This is a good point, but this means more waste going to landfill which is not great.

The solution
A good pair of long lasting flip flops doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Sure, some top of the range ones will cost you up to £50 plus a pair, but many will and do cost a lot less than this.

In fact, our site currently has some very good flip flops for under £10 a pair. Sure you could maybe buy 3 or 4 cheap pairs for this same cost, but the more expensive pair will last much longer than all those cheaper ones put together!

Whats more, the slightly more expensive and better quality flip flops not only look better but they will feel much nicer on your feet.

Buy with confidence
Here at FlipFlops.co.uk, we hand-pick which brands and styles we list on our site. That’s why you can rest easy knowing that whatever pair you buy will last a good amount of time and end up being much better value for money in the long run.

On many occasions, we have chosen not to feature a brand because it doesn’t meet our quality standards.
